This is a perfect example of what can be achieved when augmented reality is used to enhance a location.
Created by Augmented Adventures, this AR app uses location data along with gaming know-how to create a walking tour/live action adventures that is truly unique.
The brief was simple: show off the many beautiful features of this historic town, whilst
giving information about the location’s history in an entertaining way.

What We Did:
Available in all major stores including Google Play and the App Store for iOS
Creation of a 45 and 25 minute tour stopping at some known, and less well-known, locations.
Fully realised and animated characters from Windsor’s past and present, including a King, Queen, Guardsman and some corgis!
Google maps integrated with our data to create easy to follow interactive map.
Available in English, French, German and Italian
The tour content was created by an experienced UK guide ensuring the information was accurate, informative and fun
Mini Games: involving catching AR corgis and post tour quiz
An auto save function allowed users to explore and then return to the guide when needed.
Gamification elements including achievement sections to reward active involvement
